M8RATES · ONBOARDING RELEASE
Website terms
Version 2026-10-12-onboarding-1 · Updated 12 October 2026
About this service
M8Rates is a product of CORE CONVERGE TECHNOLOGY SERVICES PTY LTD, ABN 60 669 440 331 (we, us). Contact support@m8rates.com.au. These website terms apply to the current onboarding release. This release allows account access and applications from independent grocers. Grocery ordering, payments and customer deliveries have not opened.
Descriptions of the planned grocery service are proposals, not an offer to supply goods or a guarantee of launch dates, customer numbers, prices or savings. Before trading opens, each supplier’s identity, customer order terms and commercial arrangements must be provided and accepted where applicable.
Accounts and applications
You must be at least 18 and authorised to represent the business whose details you submit. Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in and tell us promptly about suspected misuse. You may browse the public website without an account. Secure sign-in is required to submit and view a private grocer application.
Applying is free and does not create a supplier contract, appointment, exclusivity arrangement or payment obligation. An acknowledgement means we received your application, not that it has been approved. Do not submit passwords, banking details, identity documents or information you are not authorised to provide. Contact support to correct or withdraw an application.
We assess applications against service coverage, food registration, safe handling and delivery, product information, quality and operational suitability. We may request relevant clarification. Approval of a private workspace does not mean a shop is authorised to take orders. A commercial agreement and launch checks are required separately.
Quality and fair comparisons
The planned market prioritises verified quality requirements before price. We intend to compare suitable offers from participating grocers, including pack size, availability and delivery arrangements. We do not claim to have the lowest price in the entire market or to know competitors’ current prices. A savings figure must have an identified and current comparison basis. No savings figure is promised by submitting an application.
Product names, images and text supplied by a grocer must be accurate and used with permission. Submission authorises us to review the application; it does not give us permission to publish a catalogue or testimonials on the grocer’s behalf.
Acceptable use and access
Do not impersonate another person, submit fraudulent details, use the service to send spam, interfere with other users, access data without permission or bypass security. We may temporarily restrict an account where reasonably needed to address fraud, security, unlawful conduct or material misuse. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and provide a way to request review. Restrictions will not remove legal rights or prevent a lawful privacy request.
Access is role-based. Creating an account does not make you a platform administrator or an approved grocer. Administrator and grocer operations may require additional identity verification. Never share an account with staff; each authorised person needs their own access.
Privacy and communications
Our Privacy policy explains account, application and technical information handling. Essential sign-in and application communications are separate from advertising. Submitting an application does not subscribe you to promotional messages or authorise us to sell your contact information.
Our responsibilities and your rights
We take reasonable care to operate the service, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, provider outages or security work. We will not use these terms to exclude rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Nothing requires you to indemnify us for our own negligence or waive a statutory right.
Contact support if a problem arises. We aim to acknowledge support complaints within two business days and provide a resolution or next step within ten business days. These are service targets, not time limits on your rights. You may seek assistance from Consumer Affairs Victoria or another relevant regulator, tribunal or court.
Changes and governing law
We may update the website and these terms for future use. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where practicable and obtain renewed acceptance when appropriate. Changes do not retrospectively impose a fee or merchant obligation on an existing application. Victorian law applies, subject to mandatory rights and available remedies elsewhere in Australia. If one provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to the extent legally possible.
